Before I decided to do TQM topic for my research proposal, I was actully more focused into students satisfaction towards quality services that provided by educational institutions. And basically, I would like to investigate on students at Faculty of Education reaction towards service quality that Faculty of Education has been provided to students and all.
I have also did some review on past research that were doing the same topic and I found its really interesting because the researchers focused form international context. Moreover, they did comparison research between faculties, universities locally and internationally and from my point if view,it is good because the respective university can take immediate action to improve areas that lack of interest by students.
Unfortunately, when I tried to propose the topic to Dr. Izaham, he questioned me back saying is this important? Is this topic really give impact to community? When he asked me that way, I was stuck! I can't answer! I felt disappointed because Dr. Izaham doesn't really agreed for me to proceed with the topic.
In fact, I felt the same way too!
And after long journey in searching the best topic to be investigated, I read more than 10 journals everyday, I think TQM area is the best for to dig more! I read many journals that researched on TQM from higher education and I came with an idea to see on the implementation of TQM at schools. So that is why I came with the topic of The Implementation of TQM in SMK Taman Sri Andalas, Klang.
